Attwood Gas Spring Threaded Studs
Used as an alternative to Attwood gas spring mounting brackets, these Attwood gas spring threaded studs can be mounted directly to hatches or other mounting surfaces in applications where the mounting surface is made of metal or another material with the strength to withstand the forces of an Attwood gas spring attachment point.
Choice of Attachment Points and finish
Springlift threaded studs are available with "Ball" or "Blade" Gas Spring attachment points, and a choice of materials, including zinc plated stele or stainless steel.

A solid connection means a safe secure project - and no one does this better than Attwood SpringLift
A great gas spring begins and ends with the end fittings that connect the gas spring to the deck, lid or hatch. Attwood offers a variety of end fitting options including ball sockets, ball studs, or blade as well as a wide variety of mounting brackets
Your finished project will open and close easily, but not too fast...
...because only Attwood SpringLift gas springs have the perfect balance of lubrication and damping. This is accomplished through the careful design of the gas spring's hydraulic oil system, whcih provides lubrication and a damping medium. Damping is desired in most gas springs to control the opening speed of the cover or hatch
Years of smooth operation are assured by the Attwood SpringLift piston package
The piston package is the most critical part of the Attwood SpringLift gas spring engineering. This system guides the rod as it telescopes in and out of the pressure tube. It also provides damping and controls the rate of extension. Attwood's unique, labyrinth piston design provides more reliable operation and better damping then competitive, single orifice gas springs.
Self repairng system holds pressure longer
For long life and dependable service, an effective, gas tight sealing system is required. Attwood SpringLift'sunique system retains internal gas pressure under both static and dynamic conditions.
The single tapered lip seal aactually compensates for wear as it occurs! Attwood's seal is molded with a steel insert to prevent the nitrogen gas from escaping and shortening service life of the gas spring.
A rusty rod ruins gas springs!
Whether you choose Attwood's economical SL gas springs - or their longer life SH or SS gas springs - you can be assured that you are getting the best rod finish your money can buy.
All Attwood Springlift gas springs have a clean, smooth rod surface finish - that is at least five times more rust resistant than chrome. That is, there is no chrome plating finish to peel and damage the seal which shortens the service life of your gas spring.
