It also provides damping and controls the rate of extension. Self repairng system holds pressure longer

For long life and dependable service, an effective, gas tight sealing system is required. Attwood SpringLift'sunique system retains internal gas pressure under both static and dynamic conditions.

The single tapered lip seal aactually compensates for wear as it occurs! Attwood's seal is molded with a steel insert to prevent the nitrogen gas from escaping and shortening service life of the gas spring.
